A new anime adaptation has been announced with the light novel series Re:Monster. The adaptation announcement came with the key visual below and the first teaser promo for it but no other details or when to expect it.
The novels began in 2011 by writer Kogitsune Kanekiru and artist Yamaada and it has nine volumes out so far while listed as ongoing. The manga was licensed by Seven Seas back in 2016. “Re:Monster falls into the increasingly popular category of a hero reborn into an RPG-like world,” said Seven Seas’ publisher Jason DeAngelis. “Much like Mushoku Tensei, Overlord, or Sword Art Online, a young man is transported into a fantasy world to begin a new life, but in Re:Monster, he’s reborn as a goblin—a very, very hungry goblin. With strong artwork and a unique story, it’s sure to be a winner.”
