As we get further into the month, the folks at ICv2 have a more baseline look at what went down in the month of August 2023 when it came to graphic novels. For this month, we get to move through more of what’s being influenced by films and TV shows in general and the kind of ebb and flow that comes from that.
As always, there are a lot of Batman titles to be had and this month has six titles when you include some of the overall Bat-Family books. The top of the chart, however, is TMNT: The Last Ronin once again as the book just does great numbers. We also see Spider-Punk: Battle of the Banned grabbing a high spot and several other Spider-Man books as well.
DC continues to do well with The Sandman charting with Watchmen in the top twenty. Blue Beetle gets a high spot thanks to the film being out and we get some other fun titles such as Immortal Hulk with its omnibus and the Woman Woman Historia property.
