The winter 2021 second anime season of Uma Musume saw a January 4th, 2021 debut but it’s been mostly quiet since that series aired. We got the confirmation that the show was getting a third formal season in November 2022 and the main staff and cast are returning for the project with plans for a 2023 debut.

The latest update comes with some good things as we get a new promotional video after recently getting the confirmation of an October 4th, 2023 premiere date for it.

Tomoaki Oota served as the supportive director with Kei Oikawa as the main director as they worked from the scripts by Shingo Nagai and Tetsuya Kobari. Yousuke Kashima is serving as character designer and chief animation director.

The Japanese cast includes Azumi Waki as Special Week, Marika Kōno as Silence Suzuka, Machico as Tōkai Teiō, Ayaka Ohashi as Vodka, Chisa Kimura as Daiwa Scarlet, Hitomi Ueda as Gold Ship, Saori Ōnishi as Mejiro McQueen, Yukiyo Fujii as Tazuna Hayakawa, Kōji Okino as Trainer, and Megumi Toyoguchi as Hana Tōjō.

Cast members will perform the opening “Yume o Kakeru!” and Tōkai Teiō and Mejiro McQueen sing the ending theme song “Komorebi no Yell!”

The first season opening theme song is “Make Debut!” while “Glow Up Shine!” is the ending theme song.

Plot Concept: This is a tale of a world where “horse girls” with glorious names and incredible running abilities live alongside humanity. Horse girl Special Week has moved from the country to the city to attend Tracen Academy. There, she and her classmates compete to win the Twinkle Series and earn the title of “The County’s #1 Horse Girl.”
