A new anime adaptation was revealed in February 2023 with the I Shall Survive Using Potions! novel series by FUNA getting the nod. The novels began in 2015 with the first published volume in 2017 with Kodansha handling that. Nine volumes are out as of March 2023 with J-Novel Club releasing them in English. Crunchyroll previously announced their pickup of the show with plans for streaming. They’ll be bringing it out to subscribers worldwide excluding Asia and they’ve released a subtitled version of the first promo for it as well.
The show recently saw an October 7th, 2023 premiere date set for it and they’ve now updated with a new promotional video that previews the opening theme song from katagiri.
The series has Nobuaki Nakanishi directing from the scripts overseen by Takayo Ikami. Chisato Kikunaga is handling the character designs with studio Jumondo on board for the animation production.

The opening theme song is “tailwind” by katagiri while the ending theme will be “Love is a potion” by the two leads as a unit for the show.

Plot Concept: One day, the supervisor in charge of watching over Earth was taking care of a distortion, when they made a mistake that caused Kaoru Nagase to lose her physical body. Not only that, but reincarnating her into a different, less culturally advanced world is the only thing they can offer to do for her. Not one to take this turn of events sitting down, Kaoru makes a demand: the power to create potions at any time she pleases, with whatever effect she wants it to have—and it doesn’t stop there either. She asks for a magical Item Box, the ability to understand and speak every language, and the same body she had back when she was a fifteen-year-old girl. Using her newfound powers, Kaoru has to try and make a stable life for herself in a whole new world!
