We learned back in March 2022 that an anime adaptation was announced for the manga Kinsō no Vermeil: Gakeppuchi Majutsushi wa Saikyō no Yakusai to Mahō Sekai o Tsukisusumu, which translates as Vermeil in Gold: A Desperate Magician Barges Into the Magical World Alongside the Strongest Calamity.
With it seeing a July 5th, 2022 premiere date for streaming, the show saw a new international home video release earlier this year. German distributor AniMoon Publishing brought out the first volume of it set for a July 21st, 2023 debut and that has them now doing some clips for it. The first one is this piece that features Christian Zeiger As Alto Goldfield below.
The series has Takashi Naoya directing it based on the scripts supervised by Tatsuya Takahashi. Kiyoshi Tateishi is handling the character designs with Staple Entertainment handling the animation production.
The Japanese cast includes Yūya Hirose as Alto Goldfield, Maaya Uchida as Vermeil, Wakana Kuramochi as Lilia Kudelfeyt, Yū Okano as Marcus Parston, Kaori Ishihara as Sharol Iridescence, Sakura Nakamura as Francois, Kana Hanazawa as Elena Kimberlight, Kazuyuki Okitsu as Shinōji Ryūga, Riho Sugiyama as Jessica Schwarz, Yurina Amami as Chris Westland, and Takehito Koyasu as Obsidian.
Kaori Ishihara will perform the opening theme with the song “Abracada-Boo” for it. The ending theme song is “Mortal With You” from Mili.

The English dub had John Swasey directing it based on the scripts from Marta Bechtol. The English cast includes Mike Haimoto as Alto, Monica Rial as Vermeil, and Kira Vincent Davis as Lilia.
The manga comes from Kota Amana and Yoko Umezu which is serialized in Monthly Shonen Gangan magazine since 2018 and has five volumes out as of the March 2022 announcement.

Plot Concept: Meet Alto, a hapless student at Royal Ortigia Magic Academy whose academic performance leaves much to be desired. But while Vermeil is a powerful ally sure to turn his grades around, her magic can only be replenished with a kiss, and that makes everything go to hell with Alto’s jealous childhood friend, Lilia. Looks like Alto just unleashed a whole new world of devilish mayhem in Vermeil in Gold: A Desperate Magician Barges Into the Magical World Alongside the Strongest Calamity!
