The fall 2020 anime series Fly Me to the Moon, aka Tonikaku Kawaii, aka Tonikawa: Over the Moon For You, clearly finished awhile ago but they had a bit more in the chamber as an OVA was put into production for an August 18th, 2021 release date. With that out and done, the official site revealed just over a year ago that a second OVA is in production and a second season is coming as well, both of which will feature a returning staff and cast, with Crunchyroll set to stream it as they did the first season and the first OVA.

The series saw an April 7th, 2023 premiere for it and alongside that debut, but as the season wrapped up, a four-episode series making its debut on July 12th, 2023 with Crunchyroll already streaming it in the same region as the prior works they currently stream. Now, WB Japan has set the home video release plans for it with a December 8th, 2023 box set. The Blu-ray-only set will be priced at 9,000 yen for the four episodes that will come with the clean theme songs as extras for it.

While we’ve got a bit to go until it arrives, WB Japan is now previewing some of the artwork for this release with:

The Japanese cast includes Akari Kitō as Tsukasa, Junya Enoki as Nasa, Yū Serizawa as Kaname Arisugawa, Sumire Uesaka as Aya Arisugawa, and Konomi Kohara as Chitose Kaginoji.

For the first season, Akari Kito performed the opening theme song “Koi no Uta” while KanoeRana performed the ending theme song “Tsuki to Hoshizora” for it. For the second season, the show will feature the opening theme song “Setsuna no Chikai (feat. Tsukasa Yuzaki)” from  Neko Hacker while the ending theme song will be done in-character by Akari Kito with “Yoru no Katasumi.”

The series began back in February 2018 as serialized in Weekly Shonen Sunday. Ten volumes are out as of March 2020. Viz Media picked up the rights to the manga.

Plot Concept: The comedy follows a boy named Nasa who meets a “generally cute” girl named Tsukasa on the day of his high school entrance exams, and immediately falls in love with her. Nasa confesses his feelings, but her response is that she will only go out with him if they get married. Years later, on Nasa’s 18th birthday, she suddenly appears to get married. Thus begins Nasa’s newlywed lifestyle.
