The last time we talked about this property in a big way was back in 2017 when Toei Entertainment brought out the 1987 anime series Bikkuriman and its sequel series Bikkuriman on DVD in Japan. At the time, the distributor is bringing the show out in two sets as there are 75 episodes with the first series and 72 episodes with the second series. The first series is split into two sets priced at 19,440 yen each while the second set is priced at 17,280 yen for each of the two sets.
In early April 2023, we learned that a new Bikkuriman series is on the way with Bikkurimen. It’s set for a fall 2023 premiere and there’s a special event coming up on September 17th, 2023 that will have more details. But ahead of that, the official site has now dropped a new character promo and key visual for the show as well as setting an October 5th, 2023 premiere date.

It’s set to be directed by Tomohiro Tsukimisato from the series composition by Yuniko Ayana. Ayano Owada is adapting Hiroyuki Takei’s original designs from Lotte’s concept and Lesprit is handling the animation production.
