
The summer 2020 anime adaptation of the manga Rent-A-Girlfriend saw streaming with Crunchyroll handling the series worldwide for audiences outside of Asia. We learned previously that the series is getting a third season and it was set with a July 7th, 2023 debut on the Super Animeism block. Crunchyroll will be simulcasting it where the episode numbers are continuing on from the first season.
Now, the thirty-fourth episode is coming up on September 15th, 2023 and the first promotional spot for it has arrived below.

The series was directed by Kazuomi Koga based on the scripts from Mitsutaka Hirota. Kanna Hirayama worked on the character designs with TMS Entertainment working on the animation production.
The Japanese cast includes Sora Amamiya as Chizuru Mizuhara, Aoi Yūki as Mami Nanami, Nao Tōyama as Ruka Sarashina, Rie Takahashi as Sumi Sakrasawa, Shun Horie as Kazuya Kinoshita, Yukari Nozawa as Nagomi Kinoshita, Masayuki Akasaka as Yoshiaki Kibe, and Gakuto Kajiwara as Shun Kuribayashi.
The manga from Reiji Miyajima began in 2017 and has twenty-six volumes to its name as of July 2022. The property is serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine with Kodansha Comics bringing it out in English in 2020.
The Peggies will be performing the opening song “Centimeter” while halca will handle the ending theme song “Kokukahu Bungee Jumping.”

Plot Concept: A hopeless college student, Kinoshita Kazuya, meets a graceful rental girlfriend, Mizuhara Chizuru, and ends up introducing her as his girlfriend to his family and friends. Time goes on with Kazuya unable to tell the truth, as he’s surrounded by devilish ex-girlfriend Nanami Mami, who keeps coming back to tempt him for some reason, hyper-aggressive provisional girlfriend Sarashina Ruka, who doesn’t know how to take no for an answer, and super shy but diligent and hardworking younger rental girlfriend, Sakurasawa Sumi… beautiful girlfriends of all types! The pub, the beach, hot springs, Christmas, and New Year’s… Having gone through these challenging events, Kazuya’s feelings for Chizuru keep growing stronger. But she reveals a shocking truth that threatens to shake their “relationship” to the very core!
