As we’ve said over the years – you can never have enough Yuruyuri. Sadly, the last we got to talk about this was back in 2019 for the ten-year anniversary and the OVA that was released for it. We learned this summer that the spinoff manga from it with Omure-ke is getting an anime adaptation. Set for two “mid-length” films that are set to land in 2024 and we now have some cast additions for the show below.

Naoyuki Tatsuwa is directing it from the screenplay by Masahiro Yokotani. Kazuyuki Ueda is working on the character designs with Passione and Studio Lings working on the animation production.

The main cast are reprising their roles from the previous works with:

  • Chiwa Saito as Nadeshiko Ōmuro
  • Emiri Katō as Sakurako Ōmuro
  • Rina Hidaka as Hanako Ōmuro

The newly added cast includes:

  • Reo Kurachi as Kokoro Ogawa
  • Ayasa Ito as Mirai Soma
  • Aoi Koga as Misaki Takasaki
  • Suzuko Mimori as Himawari Furutani

The Omure-ke manga began in 2012 as serialized in Comic Yuri Hime magazine for Ichijinsha with six volumes released in Japan so far.

Plot Concept: Right after starting middle school, Akari Akaza joins the Amusement Club which is composed solely of her two childhood friends, Kyouko Toshinou and Yui Funami. Chinatsu Yoshikawa, Akaza’s classmate, becomes a member after finding out about the dissolution of the Tea Club.

The Amusement Club, situated at the tea room facility since the Tea Club disbanded, has no clear purpose, being free for the girls to do whatever they want.
