
A new anime adaptation is set for 2023 with more formal season plans to come later with Yumemiru Danshi wa Genjitsushugisha getting the nod. The light novel series comes from Okemaru which began in 2018 and has seven volumes in print through Hobby Japan so far. A manga adaptation is underway with three volumes as adapted by Popuri Yoshikita.
With a lot of the details revealed when it was announced in November 2022, the show is getting its streaming handled through HIDIVE for the season. The eleventh episode is due out on September 11th, 2023 and the Japanese side has done a new update with the first promotional video for the new episode.
The anime adaptation has set Kazuomi Koga to direct it from the scripts overseen by Michiko Yokote. Masaru Koseki is handling the character designs with Studio Gokumi handling the animation production. Check out the first promo, visual, and cast details below.

The opening theme song is “Paraglider” which comes from Kaori Ishihara while the ending theme song “Yume was Mijikashi Koiseyo Otome” is from Akiho Suzumoto.

Plot Concept: High school student Wataru Sajõ is in love with his gorgeous classmate Aika Natsukawa. Aika finds him to be a nuisance, but he dreams of her mutual love every day and continues to approach her. One day though, he suddenly wakes up from this “dream.” In order to get back his sense of reality, he recognizes his position and stays away from Aika. But now for some reason Aika is completely shaken.
