Production I.G. is involved in an intriguing new project with an anime feature film adaptation of The Concierge at Hokkyoku Department Store manga. The film is set for a fall 2023 theatrical release with Yoshimi Itazua making their directorial debut working from the screenplay by Satoshi Ooshima.
After being announced in April 2023, it was recently set with an October 20th, 2023 premiere date. Now, a new trailer has arrived that focuses on the theme song “Gift” as performed by Myuk below.
The Japanese cast includes:

- Takeo Ōtsuka as Eruru
- Nobuo Tobita as Tōdō
- Megumi Han as Mori
- Natsumi Fujiwara as Iwase
- Eiji Yoshitomi as Maruki

The manga from Tsuchika Nishimura began in 2016 as serialized in Big Comic Zokan and wrapped up in 2020 with two volumes.

Plot Concept: The story focuses on a new concierge at a mysterious department store where all the customers are animals. As a concierge, she tries to read her peculiar customers and try to make appropriate recommendations to them.
