The spring 2021 anime adaptation of Hiro Mashima’s manga series Eden’s Zero is getting its home video release handled by Aniplex Japan. The twenty-five-episode series is being set for an eight-volume release that began on August 4th, 2021 where all volumes are listed as limited editions. The DVDs are priced at 5,000 yen each while the Blu-rays are at 6,000 yen each; the fifth volume for each is 1,000 yen more with an extra episode on it.
The second season is going a different route for its release where they’re done as box sets. The first set is scheduled for a November 22nd, 2023 release while the second is set for a December 27th, 2023 release. Both sets are limited editions with the DVD sets priced at 26,000 yen and the Blu-ray sets at 28,000 yen. Check out the full schedule below with the first tease of artwork.
Shinji Ishihara is set as the chief director with Yushi Suzuki directing. Mitsutaka Hirota is working on the scripts with Yurika Sato handling the character design adaptation. JC Staff is on board for the production.
The Japanese cast includes Takuma Terashima as Shiki Granbell, Mikako Komatsu as Rebecca Bluegarden, Rie Kugimiya as Happy, Hiromichi Tezuka as Weisz Steiner, Shiori Izawa as E.M. Pino, Shiki Aoki as Homura Kogetsu, Sayaka Ohara as Elsie Crimson, Houchu Ohtsuka as Ziggy, Kikuko Inoue as Mother, Kiyono Yasuno as Witch Regret, and Daisuke Namikawa as Justice.
The publisher is currently bringing it out digitally as a simulpub through ComiXology, Crunchyroll Manga, and Kindle with more outlets to be announced as that gets finalized. Additionally, it’s getting released in five languages with Chinese, English, French, Korean, and Thai translations being made available.
