
Fuji TV has a new series underway that Crunchyroll made a streaming acquisition for with Undead Murder Farce. Set for a July 2023 debut, we’ve had a lot of updates for the project, and the premiere for it was set with a July 5th, 2023 date. The show has Mamoru Hatakeyama as the director with Noboru Takagi as the head writer. Noriko Ito is adapting the designs from Zerogo Iwamoto with Lapintrack working on the animation production.
With the show underway, the official site has now dropped the first preview of the tenth episode ahead of its September 6th, 2023 debut.
The Japanese cast includes Tomoyo Kurosawa as Aya Rindo, Taku Yashiro as Tsugaru Shinuchi, Makoto Koichi as Shizuku Hasei, Sayumi Suzushiro as Annie Kerber, Shinichiro Miki as Sherlock Holmes, Masaki Aizawa as John H. Watson, Mamoru Miyano as Arsene Lupin, Hiro Shimono as Phantom, Wataru Yokojima as James Moriarty, Tomokazu Sugita as Aleister Crowley, Reina Kondop as Carmilla, Itaru Yamamoto as Victor, Sōma Saitō as Jack the Ripper, Maaya Uchida as Nora the Werewolf, Yumiri Hanamori as Vera, and Saima Nakano as Kaya.
CLASS:y is handling the opening theme song “Crack-Crack-Crackle” while the ending theme song is “reversal” by Anna.

Plot Concept: The 19th century — a world inhabited by vampires, golems, werewolves, and other paranormal creatures. Immortal beauty and disembodied head Aya Rindo, along with half-human-half-demon “Demon Killer” Tsugaru Shunichi and her loyal maid Shizuku Hasei, travels through Europe as supernatural detective “The Cage User,” solving supernatural mysteries while she searches for her lost body.
