3 min read
A date and a name? Good stuff!

The summer 2018 season series Jashin-chan Dropkick, aka Dropkick on My Devil, saw a second season as the home video release hit the numbers it needed for it to be produced previously. The second season goes under the title Dropkick on My Devil!! Dash and when that ended, there were hopes for a third season by the original creator. What the production committee decided to do was crowdfund for the third season where, in 33 hours, it achieved its twenty-million-yen goal, which is about $190,000 or so US depending on change rates.

We learned at the end of October 2021 that it would be called Dropkick on my Devil X and the show made its July 5th, 2022 debut with Crunchyroll streaming it. With an OVA in the works as well, the official site in May 2023 revealed plans for a new spinoff show called Dropkick on My Devil! Apocalypse Arc. This one isn’t directly connected from the fourth season plan and is getting Makaria to handle the animation production for it.

Now, a new update has come in from the official site that the spinoff is set for a December 26th, 2023 premiere on BS NTV.

A visual and teaser trailer was released previously for it:

Plot Concept: Jashin-chan looks back on the day Hanazono Yurine summoned her. So long as Yurine lives, Jashin-chan can’t return to Hell. So Jashin-chan writes Yurine’s name in her “Death NOT” and swears that she’s finally going to land that dropkick on Yurine.

Meanwhile, a former subordinate of Pekola and Poporon, Pino, shows up. Pekola is overjoyed believing God has finally sent someone to bring her home; however, in Pino’s hand is a weapon…
