It’s been a big since the last Macross anime project was out there but this weekend saw some concerts and promoting going on that has resulted in a new announcement. Sunrise is confirmed to be handling a new Macross anime project with details to come for it. Unlike past projects, there’s a lot more potential for this to see an overseas release around the world thanks to the agreements made in 2021 between Bigwest, Studio Nue, and Harmony Gold in regards to distribution.
No details were included in the announcement but there’s definitely potential for some of the big summer season events in Japan and the US for it to get more information.
