Sometimes you never know what you’re going to get with a series as information is slim and only so much is revealed, such as the anime adaptation of Shadowverse from Cygames. The spring 2020 series was one where it had a three-cour run with little information each time about what was coming. So it’s not exactly a surprise, at the end of 2021, hearing that a second series had gotten the green light with Shadowverse Flame.

We learned at the end of that run back in March 2023 that a fifth season is set for a July 2023 premiere under “Seven Shadows Arc” as a title. Now, a new promo for it has arrived that comes with a July 8th, 2023 premiere date for it.

This season has Naotaka Hayashi on board as the assistant director while Tomoko Miyakawa is serving as the digi-friend designer.

The cast includes:

  • Yūto Uemura as Light Tenryū
  • Hibiku Yamamura as Itsuki Mitsutagawa
  • Kazuki Ura as Subaru Makabe
  • Shiori Izawa as Dragnir
  • Showtaro Morikubo as Gentleman
  • Rarisa Tago Takeda as Ren Kazamatsuri
  • Miyu Tomita as Tsubasa Takanashi

Half time Old will handle the opening theme song with “Akari” while Ooch Norma brings “Shekenare” as the ending theme song.
