The winter 2019 anime adaptation of the manga series Watashi ni Tenshi ga Maiorita!, which localizes as An Angel Flew Down to Me!, wrapped up a while ago and it’s been quiet outside of some CD releases. Back in October 2021, as part of the release of the tenth volume of the manga, it was revealed that a feature film subtitled as Previous Friends will arrive in 2022.

With the film in theaters as of October 14th, 2022, the folks at Crunchyroll have now added the film to their site as An Angel Flew Down to Me: Precious Friends. It’s available in Japanese with multiple subtitle options that include English, Deutsch, Español (América Latina), Español (España), Français, Italiano, Português (Brasil), and Русский.

The series has Daisuki Hiramaki directing based on the series composition by Yuka Yamada. Hiromi Nakagawa worked on the character designs while Doga Kobo handled the animation production.

The Japanese cast includes Reina Ueda as Miyako Hoshino, Maria Sashide as Hana Shirosaki, Rika Nagae as Hinata Hoshino, Akari Kitō as Noa Himesaka, Hitomi Ohwada as Koyori Tanemura, Naomi Ōzora as Kanon Konomori, and Lynn as Koko.

Check out the official site and Twitter.

Plot Concept: The series deals with Miyako Hoshino, a shy college student and otaku. Miyako’s younger sister Hinata, who is a fifth grader, has a classmate and friend named Hana. When they meet, Miyako falls for Hana at first sight.
