A new anime adaptation is in our future with the property Megami no Café Terrace being slotted for an April 2023 TV debut. We learned about this at the end of September 2022 and over the last several months we’ve had a good run of information released along with multiple promos and key visuals you can enjoy further below.
With the series seeing an April 7th, 2023 premiere date for it, the folks at MBS have dropped their first preview for the second episode that’s due out on April 14th, 2023!
It’s directed by Satoshi Kuwabara from the series scripts overseen by Keiichio Ochi. Masatsune Noguchi is working on the character designs with Tezuka Productions handling the animation.
The Japanese cast includes Masaaki Mizunaka as Hayato Kasukabe, Azumi Waki as Shiragiku Ono, Aya Yamane as Riho Tsukishima, Sayumi Suzushiro as Ami Tsuruga, Asami Seto as Akane Hououji, Ruriko Aoki as Ouka Makusawa, and Kazue Ikura as Sachiko Kasukabe.
The series has NeRiAme performing the opening theme song “Unmei Kyōdōtai!” while Miki Sato performs the ending theme song “Dramatic.”
The manga from Kouji Seo, who also created Suzuka and Fuuka, began in 2021 and is serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine. It has seven volumes out as of September 2022.
Plot Concept: The series focuses on Hayato Kasukabe, a man who got into Tokyo University on his first try but receives news of his grandmother’s passing. He returns to his family’s cafe and his childhood home for the first time in three years, but there he finds five girls working in the cafe, all claiming to be part of his grandfather’s family
