2 min read

The fall 2020 anime adaptation of the manga for Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear saw its simulcast through Funimation and at the end of 2020, we learned that a second season was coming. With the season set for an April 3rd, 2023 premiere, we’ve had a number of updates over the last few months and several promotional videos as well. With the show underway, the Japanese side is doing some celebrating with a big new key visual of our cast!

Yuu Nobuta is set to direct it based on the series composition by Takashi Aoshima. Yuki Nakano is on board as the character designer with EMT² handling the animation production.

The two leads are also set with Maki Kawase as Yuna and Azuma Waki as Fina.

The opening theme song from Azumi Waki with “Kimi to no Mirai” is set for the second season while the ending theme song “Zutto” as performed by Maki Kawase.

The novels began in 2014 from writer Kumanano and artist 029 where there are twelve volumes out so far and going plus an 11.5 volume. The manga was adapted by Sergei which began in 2018 and has three volumes so far.

Plot Concept: Yuna’s not your typical 15-year-old. First, she’s crazy rich from playing the stock market. Second, she’s a recluse obsessed with a VRMMO game, and she’s really good at that too.

Her life is pretty much perfect—until she wakes up one day inside the game she loves and back at level one. She has to start over, but this time, she has a powerful bear suit that’s guaranteed to take her places!
