The fall 2022 anime season saw an original anime with the Do It Yourself!! property and it went over pretty well with Crunchyroll picking it up.
Now, it’s been revealed that the show is also inspiring a live-action side that’s in the works. It’s set in Sanjo City like the anime but will be shot on location and will follow a lot of similar elements as the anime itself. No details on the production or cast for it yet or a premiere.
The anime project has Kazuhiro Yoneda directing it based on the scripts written and overseen by Kazuyuki Fudeyasu. Yuusuke Matsuo is handling the character designs with PINE JAM handling the animation production.
The Japanese cast includes:
- Konomi Inagaki as Serufu
- Kana Ichinose as Purin [Miku Suride]
- Ayane Sakura as Kurei [Rei Yasaku]
- Azumi Waki as Takumi [Takumi Hikage]
- Karin Takahashi as Shii [Kokoro Kouki]
- Nichika Omori as Jobko [Juliet Queen Elizabeth VIII]

Plot Concept: Building furniture and friendships have a lot in common. Intention, effort, and hard work are needed for both crafts. This is a story of girls in a DIY club building both as they carve out their futures. None of it comes easy, but that doesn’t stop any of ’em. Furniture, friendships, and the future—they’re building it all with their own hands!
