JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure creator Hirohiko Araki has delivered the news back in April 2021 that an anime adaptation is in the works for the Stone Ocean arc of his series. The highlight at the time was that Ai Fairouz, who has talked publicly about her desire to play this role someday, had indeed been cast in the role.

With the first part on Netflix last year and wrapping up its Japanese broadcast run as part of the winter 2022 season, the second part was previously set for its debut later this year in the fall of 2022. That went live with a September 1st, 2022 Netflix premiere and now Netflix has dropped a new clip with a compilation of great scenes! Ora ora ora ora ora ora!

The twelve-episode run for the first cour of it available on the service. And we know the language options, which really were in question alongside everything else. The series is available in its original Japanese language as well as dubs in English, French, Spanish, and German. There’s also a Japanese audio description track. On the subtitles side, we get English, Spanish, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and Japanese closed captions.

The project has Kenichi Suzuki returning to serve as the chief director with Toshiyuki Kato as the series director. The series composition is being handled by Yasuko Kobayashi once again with Masanori Shino working on the character designs. David Production is back for the animation production as well.

The Japanese cast includes:

Plot Concept: In Florida, 2011, Jolyne Kuujou sits in a jail cell like her father Joutarou once did; yet this situation is not of her own choice. Framed for a crime she didn’t commit, she was manipulated into serving a longer sentence and now Jolyne is resigned to a dire fate as a prisoner of Green Dolphin Street Jail. Though all hope seems lost, a gift from Joutarou ends up awakening her latent abilities, manifesting into her Stand, Stone Free. Now armed with the power to change her fate, Jolyne sets out to find an escape from the stone ocean that holds her.

However, she soon discovers that her incarceration is merely a small part of a grand plot: one that not only takes aim at her family, but has additional far-reaching consequences. What’s more, the mastermind is lurking within the very same prison, and is under the protection of a lineup of menacing Stand users. Finding unlikely allies to help her cause, Jolyne sets a course to stop their plot, clear her name, and take back her life.
