NBCU Japan Streams The ‘Last Period’ Anime Theme Songs

The mobile game Last Period: Owarinaki Rasen no Monogatari had an anime adaptation as part of the spring 2018 season and Crunchyroll is bringing it back on vogue with a little attention. The folks at NBC Universal Japan are continuing their Anime x Music event and have now added the opening and closings to their channel, making it easy to revisit or check out for the first time. The opening sequence is “Yokubari Dream” as performed by the two leads while the ending song is “Wiseman Theme” as performed by Wiseman.

The series is directed by Yoshiaki Iwasaki and based on the series composition by Hideki Shirane. With original designs by whoopin, Mika Takahashi handled the adaptation of the designs and served as the chief animation director with JC Staff working on the animation production.

The Japanese cast includes Natsuki Hanae as Haru, Yukari Tamura as Choco, Mika Kikuchi as Liza, Ayumu Murase as Gajeru, Ai Kakuma as Erika, M.A.O as Campanella, Yamato Kinjo as Gilled, Reina Ueda as Noin, Ai Kayano as Iona, Sayaka Harada as Mizaru, Akari Kitō as Kikazaru, Ayumu Mano as Iwazaru, and Shiori Izawa as Guru.

Plot Concept: “Period” is how magic users called who beat “Spiral”—monsters that were summoned from isolation. Due to the rise of these beings, 14-year-old apprentice Period Haru, who is a part of the Eighth Arc-end Division, is called to break the cycle and cast himself into the endless battle. However, a mysterious thievery occurred and sank the division into bankruptcy, forcing Haru and his other comrades to leave their headquarters. To rebuild a branch, they have to overcome quest after quest.
