With the Ghost Sweeper Mikami anime TV series last seeing releases in Japan back in 2016, which was done separately from the film, it’s now time to bring the two together. The distributor has now set a planned April 26th, 2023 release for a TV series and movie combo SDBD set that will be priced at 18,000 yen. It’ll be a two-disc set that essentially replicates what we had from the 2016 set but all together. it comes with the clean theme songs as extras.
The film, animated by Toei Animation, was released in August 1994 and has a 60-minute running time. It was directed by Atsutoshi Umezawa. The film saw release previously from Manga Entertainment, who produced a dub for it that is not included with this Japanese release.
Plot concept: Her name is Mikami and she is a Ghost Sweeper by profession. She’s also the sexiest exorcist/bounty hunter you will ever meet! When an evil vampire sorcerer returns to Tokyo after a 100-year absence, Mikami is hired to track him and his menacing assistant down before they take over the city.
