A new anime adaptation is winging its way to us with the fantasy light novel series Ningen Fushin no Bōkensha-tachi ga Sekai o Sukuu Yō Desu getting the nod. Translating as Adventurers Who Lost Faith in People Will Apparently Save the World, no details were released with the announcement back in August 2021.
With the show set for the winter 2023 season previously, it saw a January 10th, 2023 debut on Crunchyroll as Ningen Fushin: Adventurers Who Don’t Believe in Humanity Will Save the World. Now, Crunchyroll is getting things in order for the English dub which is going live on the service today. It has Jerry Jewell as the ADR director with Jill Harris assisting as they work from scripts by Clayton Browning.
The English cast includes:
- Brittney Karbowski as Curran
- Christina Kelly as Tiana
- Kieran Flitton as Nick
- Landon McDonald as Zem
- Kelsey Maher as Agate
- Philip Weber as Kizuna
Additional voices include Cassie Ewulu as Velkia, James Cheek as Alex, Kristen McGuire as Claudine, Lara Woodhull as Miril, Mark Allen Jr. as Velokkio, Mike Smith as Argas, Natalie Rose as Lynn, and William Ofoegbu as Leon.
The series was directed by Itsuki Imazaki and they’re also overseeing the scripts. Hiroo Nagao is handling the character designs and serving as the chief animation director with Geek Toys working on the production along with Seven.
The Japanese cast includes:

- Sayumi Watabe as Tiana
- Sayaka Kikuchi as Curran
- Shunichi Toki as Zem
- Mikako Komatsu as Kizuna
- Kaori Ishihara as Agate
The series comes from writer Shinta Fuji which began in 2019 and has three volumes out as of this month and a manga with four volumes that’s produced by Masaki Kawakami. Yen Press releases both in English.

Plot Concept: Veteran adventurer Nick’s life is falling apart. Despite all the knowledge and expertise, he’s devoted to his adventuring party, his respected leader kicked him out, his girlfriend dumped him, and his teammates shamelessly accused him of embezzlement. Tired, heartbroken, and looking for a drink, Nick chances upon a few kindred spirits who are jaded as he is. Together, these disillusioned adventurers form an unstoppable team out to save their bleak, depressing world!
