
The spring 2021 anime adaptation of the Don’t Mess With Me, Miss Nagatoro manga proved pretty popular as we saw it get both a simulcast and a simuldub. A second season was announced in October 2021 and now the season, known as Don’t Toy With Me, Miss Nagataro 2nd Attack, saw its overseas pickup through Crunchyroll.
The show recently saw a January 7th, 2023 premiere and now the folks at Crunchyroll are doing some new promotions for the property. That comes in the form of a clip from the first episode where Senpai must let go of Earthly distractions!
The 2nd season is directed by Shinji Ushiro working from the series composition by Taku Kishimoto. Misaki Suzuki is on board as the character designer while OLM handles the animation production for it.
The Japanese cast includes Sumire Uesaka as Nagatoro, Daiki Yamashita as Senpai, Mikako Komatsu as Gamo-chan, Aina Suzuki as Yosshii, Shiori Izawa as Sakura, Yoshino Nanjō as Anetoro, Sayumi Suzushiro as Sunomiya, and Kaori Maeda as Orihara.
Sumire Uesaka is handling the opening with “LOVE CRAZY” while she joins Mikako Komatsu, Aina Suzuki, and Shiori Izawa for the ending theme song “MY SADISTIC ADOLESCENCE” as their characters from the show.
The 1st season was directed by Hirokazu Hanai working from the series composition by Taku Kishimoto. Misaki Suzuki is on board as the character designer while Telecom Animation Film handled the animation production for it.
The series comes from creator Nanashi which began serialization in late 2017 through the Pocket website which has eight volumes out as of July 9th, 2020.
