Crunchyroll has added another series from the Funimation catalog to their site to get more eyes in front of it with the Okami-san and Her Seven Companions anime series. The show was previously made available in full from its single-season run in its original Japanese language with English subtitles while the dub remained on Funimation’s site. With the merger of the libraries continuing, the English dub has now found its way over to Crunchyroll so viewers have choice in what they watch.

Due to this being a bit of an older license with the rights split previously, availability is limited to viewers in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Ireland.

Check out our review of the series.

Based on the light novel series by Masashi Okita, it was directed by Yoshiaki Iwasaki from the series composition by Michiko Itou. Haruko Iizuka handled the character designs and served as chief animation director with production by JC Staff.

The Japanese cast includes Kanae Itō as Ringo Akai, Miyu Irino as Ryōshi Morino, Shizuka Itou as Ryōko Ōkami, Aki Toyosaki as Otohime Ryūgū, Ayako Kawasumi as Otsuu Tsurugaya, and Hirofumi Nojima as Liszt Kiriki.

The English dub was directed by Colleen Clinkenbeard with scripts by Chuck Huber and Jamie Marchi. The English cast includes Brina Palencia as Ryoko Okami, Joel McDonald as Ryoshi Morino, Monica Rial as Ringo Akai, Caitlin Glass as Otohime Ryugu, Colleen Clinkenbeard as Otsu Tsurugaya, Ian Sinclair as Shirō Hitsujikai, Jad Saxton as Mimi Usami, Lindsay Seidel as Majolika le Fay, Luci Christian as Narrator, Micah Solusod as Liszt Kiriki, Stephanie Young as Momoko Kibitsu, Terri Doty as Alice Kiriki, and Todd Haberkorn as Taro Urashima.

Plot Concept: Once upon a time, the studio behind Toradora! and Shakugan no Shana created a fable-minded story full of fairy tale tomfoolery. In this amusing rendition of the wolf and the hunter, Ryoko and her friends form Otogi Bank: a social club that helps classmates get out of grim situations. When a boy joins the group to prove his love to Ryoko, will she allow herself to have her own happily ever after?
