Crunchyroll has been able to expand their offerings thanks to the partnership with Funimation with a range of shows but some are ones where they were already streaming it. The GalaxyRailways series, one of my favorites, previously made out well because of that partnership as the availability was expanded back in 2017 with the full range of viewership for it being available in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa.

At the time, however, all they had to offer was the original Japanese language version with subtitles. Now, Crunchyroll has been able to add the English dub for streaming as the two services continue to merge their libraries.

The TV series was directed by Yukio Nishimoto based on the script by Hideki Sonoda. Fuminori Kizaki and Itsuko Takeda worked on the character designers with the animation produced by Planet.

The main Japanese cast includes Asami Sanada as Louise Fort Drake, Naoki Yanagi as Manabu Yuuki, Akio Ohtsuka as Schwanhelt Bulge, Akira Ishida as Kilian Black, Hikaru Midorikawa as David Young, Naoko Suzuki as Yuki Sexaroid and Youko Asagami as Leila Destiny Shura.

The show was a bridge between the two seasons that were created though it came out in the middle of the second season, though it was started on before the second TV series. The first series was licensed and released by FUNimation in the US but they did not pick up any further rights after that as it did not perform well enough to merit it.

Plot concept: In the future, Galaxy Railways transports citizens between planets. The trains are protected by the SDF, an elite fighting force tasked with keeping terrorists and aliens at bay. Though his father and brother were lost in service of the SDF, Manabu follows his dreams and joins the unit. His train to the stars is about to depart Destiny Station, but Manabu’s fate is already in motion.
