With a Japanese 4K remaster done back in 2012, a Korean Blu-ray box set in 2013, and Discotek Media bringing it out in 2019, Giant Robo has had a pretty decent run over the years. Now, Frontier Works is looking to bring out the original seven-episode OVA series in Japan once again with a new “full story” collection.

This set is priced at 9,000 yen and is slotted for a November 25th, 2022 release. With it clocking in at just over five hours, it’ll be a single-disc release and basically a compact low priced version of it without any extras. As we’re just a few weeks away now, the cover artwork has been released for it and they’re basically working with the familiar visual.

Plot Concept: It is a new dawn for mankind. The Shizuma Drive has brought clean, limitless energy and launched humanity into an age of prosperity. But even in this Eden of technology, there lurk the shadows of envy and greed, and Big Fire, a secret brotherhood, seeks to direct the world toward chaos!

The world is protected by the Experts of Justice, a team of operatives assembled from around the globe to stop the ultimate disaster of The Eternal Night, and the key to everything is the bravery of their newest member, Daisaku Kusama, and the great machine he commands – Giant Robo!
