The winter 2019 anime adaptation of the Kaguya-sama: Love is War manga led to the spring 2020 second season that wrapped up very well for fans along with the third series and with an anime feature film. With the manga wrapping up this week in Japan, writer/artist Aka Akasaka has revealed that with the end of the series, he’s shifting his focus to writing going forward. While citing that he’ll still be drawing as a relaxing hobby, his works going forward are going to be on the writing side and not on the illustration side. We’ll likely certainly see pieces of whatever he’s involved in going forward, but a regular ongoing series with him handling the art side seems unlikely at least for awhile.
Mamoru Hatakeyama directed it based on the series composition and supervision by Yasuhiro Nakanishi. Yuuko Yahiro worked on the character designs and A-1 Pictures was behind the animation production.
The English dub for the second season was directed by Morgan Laure based on scripts by Jessica Sluys. The cast includes Aaron Dismuke as Miyuki Shirogane, Alexis Tipton as Kaguya Shinomiya, Amanda Lee as Ai Hayasaka, Austin Tindle as Yū Ishigami, Brandon McInnis as Tsubasa Tanuma, Bryn Apprill as Nagisa Kashiwagi, Heather Walker as Kei Shirogane, Ian Sinclair as Narrator, and Jad Saxton as Chika Fujiwara.
The Japanese cast includes Aoi Koga as Kaguya Shinomiya, Makoto Furukawa as Miyuki Shirogane, Konomi Kohara as Chika Fujiwara, Ryōta Suzuki as Yū Ishigami, and Yumiri Hanamori as Ai Hayasaka.
The manga began in Miracle Jump in early 2015 from Aka Akasaki and moved to Young Jump in 2016.

Plot Concept: Kaguya Shinomiya and Miyuki Shirogane are two geniuses who stand atop their prestigious academy’s student council, making them the elite among elite. But it’s lonely at the top and each has fallen for the other. There’s just one huge problem standing in the way of lovey-dovey bliss-they’re both too prideful to be the first to confess their romantic feelings and thus become the ‘loser’ in the competition of love! And so begins their daily schemes to force the other to confess first!
