With Disney+ having previously brought out the WandaVision series back in January 2021, we saw pretty quickly that they were going to capitalize on the show with a spinoff for the character of Agatha Harkness. We’ve also got a spinoff in development for Vision from that series as well.
With Agatha: Coven of Chaos, the project has Kathryn Hahn reprising her role as the title character and Jac Schaeffer is on board as writer and executive producer for it.
Now, a new bit of casting has surfaced for it via The Hollywood Reporter with Aubrey Plaza coming on board. Naturally, nobody official is formally confirming this yet and no role has been bandied about, though it’s largely believed she’d take on the lead villain role as it’s expected that Agatha’s story will be one of redemption. In the comics, the character is one that is generally on the side of good and worked a lot with teams like the Fantastic Four.
