‘Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out!’ 2nd Season Debuts 2nd Episode Preview

The summer 2020 anime adaptation of Take’s manga series Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out! saw its simulcast streaming handled by Funimation which launched with a July 10th, 2020 debut. A second season is on the way in Japan that was announced in the fall of 2020 and where it has an October 1st, 2022 debut for it. With the show moving along, the official site has dropped a preview of the second episode ahead of its October 8th, 2022 debut.

The series has Kazuya Miura directing it based on the scripts overseen by Takashi Aoshima. Manabu Kurihara is handling the character designs with ENGI handling the animation production.

The Japanese cast includes Naomi Ōzora as Hana Uzaki, Kenji Akabane as Shinichi Sakurai, Ayana Taketatsu as Ami Asai, Tomoya Takagi as Itsuhito Sakaki, Yosuke Akimoto as Master, and Saori Hayami as Tsuki Uzaki. New cast additions included Seina Kato as Uzaki’s little sister Yanagi and Hideo Ishikawa as Uzaki’s father Fujio along with Miki Itо̄ as Haruko Sakurai, Shinichi’s mother, and Tomokazu Sugita as Shirо̄ Sakurai, Shinichi’s father.

The first season of the series features “Nadamesukashi Negotiation” by Kano and Naomi Ōzora as the opening theme song. The second season has Kano and Naomi Ōzora returning for the opening theme song with “Ichigro Ichie Celebration” while MKLNtic is handling the ending theme song “Happy Life” for it.

The property by Take is serialized in Dragon Age magazine and began in 2017 and it has four volumes out so far in Japan.
