Aniplex Japan Reveals Final ‘My Dress-Up Darling’ Anime DVD/BD LE Release Artwork

The winter 2022 anime adaptation of the My Dress-Up Darling manga is being handled by Aniplex Japan when it comes to the home video release side. The twelve-episode series is getting done as a six-volume release on both DVD and Blu-ray where each edition is listed as a limited edition. The DVDs are priced at 6,000 yen each while the Blu-rays are priced at 7,000 yen which began on March 23rd, 2022.

With the sixth and final set still a few weeks away, we now have our first look at the cover artwork for it! Check out the full schedule below.

Hina Suguta is on board as Marin Kitagawa while Shoya Ishige will play Wakana Gojo. Atsumi Tanezaki has joined as Sajuna Inui and Hina Yomiya as Shinju Inui.

The series has Keisuke Shinohara on board to direct based on the scripts overseen by Yoriko Tomita. Kazumasa Ishida is handling the character designs while also serving as the chief animation director. CloverWorks is on board to handle the animation production.

The series opening theme song is “Sansan Days” by Spira Spica while the ending them song is “Koi no Yukue” by Akari Akase.

The manga, known as Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru, comes from Shinichi Fukuda which began in January 2018 and has six volumes to its name so far. Square Enix Manga & Books is bringing the series out in English with three volumes so far.

Plot Concept: Traumatized by a childhood incident with a friend who took exception to his love of traditional dolls, doll-artisan hopeful Wakana Gojō passes his days as a loner, finding solace in the home ec room at his high school. To Wakana, people like beautiful Marin Kitagawa, a trendy girl who’s always surrounded by a throng of friends, is practically an alien from another world. But when cheerful Marin–never one to be shy–spots Wakana sewing away one day after school, she barges in with the aim of roping her quiet classmate into her secret hobby: cosplay.
