A date and a name? Good stuff!

The summer 2018 season series Jashin-chan Dropkick, aka Dropkick on My Devil, saw a second season as the home video release hit the numbers it needed for it to be produced previously. The second season goes under the title Dropkick on My Devil!! Dash and when that ended, there were hopes for a third season by the original creator. What the production committee decided to do was crowdfund for a third season where, in 33 hours, it achieved its twenty-million-yen goal, which is about $190,000 or so US depending on change rates.

We learned at the end of October 2021 that it would be called Dropkick on my Devil X and the show made its July 5th, 2022 debut with Crunchyroll streaming it. Now, they’ve brought out the theme songs for streaming on the service which features the opening theme song will be “Are Kore Drastic feat. Aina Suzuki” by halca. Check ’em out below!

The first season of the series was directed by Hikaru Sato and based on the series composition by Kazuyuki Fudeyasu, who worked on the scripts with Momoko Murakami. Makoto Koga worked on the character designs with studio Nomad handling the production.

The Japanese cast includes Aina Suzuki as Jashin-chan, Nichika Omori as Yurine Hanazono, Miyu Kubota as Medusa, Yurie Kozakai as Pekora, Chiaki Omigawa as Minos, Rico Sasaki as Poporon, Riho Iida as Persephone the Second, Natsuko Hara as Mei Tachibana, Kazusa Aranami as Yusa, Miko Terada as Kōji, MAO as Bete, Nanami Yamashita as Kyon-Kyon, and Minami Tanaka as  Kyon-Kyon’s older sister, Oneechan.

For the second season, halca performed the opening song “Toki Toshite violence” for the new season while ZAMB performed “Love Satisfaction” as the ending theme song.

The property comes from manga creator Yukiwo that began in spring 2012 through the online Comic Meteor site and in print in the spring of 2014 with over nine volumes so far.

Plot Concept: Jashin-chan looks back on the day Hanazono Yurine summoned her. So long as Yurine lives, Jashin-chan can’t return to Hell. So Jashin-chan writes Yurine’s name in her “Death NOT” and swears that she’s finally going to land that dropkick on Yurine.

Meanwhile, a former subordinate of Pekola and Poporon, Pino, shows up. Pekola is overjoyed believing God has finally sent someone to bring her home; however, in Pino’s hand is a weapon…
