2 min read
Based on the hit game comes a new series about the danger lurking in the otaku heaven of Akihabara!

Funimation has been streaming the English dub for the Akiba’s Trip show for awhile and they’ve had a couple of editions of it out on Blu-ray as well. Now, as the library merger continues between them and Crunchyroll, the series has had its English dub added to Crunchyroll’s service where they already had the original Japanese language version streaming.

Check out our review of the series.

The series is directed by Hiroshi Ikehata based on the series composition by Kazuho Hyoudou. Hajime Natsumi will be handling the character designs and Gonzo will be producing the animation.

The Japanese cast includes Haruki Ishiya as Tamotsu Denkigai, Rie Takahashi as Matome Manseika, Marika Kōno as Niwaka Denkigai, Yuki Nagaku as Arisa Ahokainen, Misaki Kuno as Tasujin Ratu and Jouji Nakata as Kage-san.

The series was directed by Clifford Chapin with Jared Hedges writing. The English cast includes Alejandro Saab as Tamotsu Denkigai, Jad Saxton as Matome Mayonaka, Natalie Hoover as Arisa Ahokainen, and Bryn Apprill as Niwaka Denkigai.

Plot Concept: Based on the hit game comes a new series about the danger lurking in the otaku heaven of Akihabara. Bugged Ones—creatures with the ability to take over anyone they bite—seek their prey in this anime fan’s paradise. When Tamotsu Denkigai encounters one, he nearly loses his life until the mysterious Matome Mayonaka revives him! Now part vampire, he forms a group to protect the streets of Akiba.
