Discotek Media previously picked up some work in this franchise and in March 2022 acquired the 2015 anime series Symphogear GX. The distributor is intending to bring out the full thirteen-episode series later in 2022 with a number of extras planned including the omake episodes, theme song pieces, promos, and premiere event footage.
That’s now being formalized as a September 27th, 2022 release date has been set for the series that will be priced at $39.95. The set will be in Japanese with English subtitles and is listing the extras above, though not the event footage unless they’re counting it as part of the promos. Check out the finalized cover below.
The series was directed by Katsumi Ono with Akifumi Kaneko serving as the script supervisor as well as writing the scripts. Character design was handled by Satoru Fujimoto based on Dan Yoshii’s original designs and the production was animated at Satelight.

Two years later, as Tsubasa has fought the Noise alone, Hibiki ends up gaining the same power as Kanade.
