A new anime is winging its way to us with a planned April 5th, 2022 debut of the I’m Quitting Heroing: Next Gig Is at the Demon Queen’s Castle light novel series getting adapted. The series has now been picked up by Sentai Filmworks for the home video release while HIDIVE will be bringing it out for simulcast. With the tenth episode coming up on June 7th, 2022, the official site has now dropped a new preview for it below.
Sentai’s picked it up with rights in North America, Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Ireland, South Africa, the Netherlands, Scandinavia and Nordic Countries, Spain, Portugal, Central and South America, the Middle East, and North Africa.
The anime adaptation has set Yuu Nobuta as the chief director with Hisashi Ishii directing. Shigeru Murakoshi is handling the scripts while Yui Nakano is handling the character designs. EMT Squared is handling the animation production for it.
The Japanese cast includes:

- Shizuka Itou as Steiner
- Hitomi Ohwada as Lily
- Yumi Uchiyama as Mernes
- Tetsu Inada as Edvard

The ending theme song is “Growing” as performed by Nao Toyama.
The original work comes from Quantum and Hana Amano which began in 2017 and has four volumes out as of 2020. A manga adaptation is out there eas well with Nori Kazato handling that.
Plot Concept: After saving humanity from the despicable Demon King, Leo Demonhart does not earn a hero’s standing. Instead, he is regarded with suspicion and hostility by those he fought to protect. Treated as a pariah with nowhere else to turn, exiled Leo seeks a position in the army of his former nemesis! But the army is not what it once was before its defeat at Leo’s hands, so to maintain his new position, Leo must whip the forces back into fighting shape.
