We learned in April 2021 that a new original project is coming to the world of anime based on the voice actor unit “Healer Girls” with Healer Girl. The project comes from director Yasuhiro Irie based on the scripts from Noboru Kimura. Yukie Akiya is working on the character designs with Studio 3Hz handling the animation production. Called a “musical healing animation,” the cast is made up of the same performers from the voice actor unit.
The series saw an April 4th, 2022 premiere in Japan and is being simulcast by Crunchyroll. Now, the Japanese side under the EMOTION label has begun streaming the sixth insert song from the sixth episode that clocks in at just 90-seconds which has a really sweet and soothing tone to it and an amusing and interesting musical application.
The Japanese cast includes:
- Akane Kumada as Hibiki Morishima
- Carin Isobe as Kana Fujii
- Marina Horiuchi as Remi Gojō
- Chihaya Yoshitake as Sonia Yanagi
- Ayahi Takagaki as Ria Karasuma
- Hisako Tōjō as Shoko Nagisa
- Miyu Takagi as Shinobu Honosaka

Plot Concept: The story is set in a world where three schools of medicine are pervasive: Western medicine, Eastern medicine, and “vocal medicine.” The healing of illness and injuries via songs is a special technique that not only improves the metal health of patients, but also the mental health of doctors. Such “Healers” strive to sing when called upon to respond to the health and anxiety of patients and doctors alike. The anime depicts the healer girls in training at the Karasuma Vocal Medical Institute.
