Happinet Reveals ‘Rusted Armors’ Anime Blu-ray Box Set Release Packaging

The project focuses on the relationship between the gun-toting Magoichi — who is the leader of the Saika Ikki mercenary group — and the Sengoku era warlord Oda Nobunaga.

The winter 2022 anime adaptation Rusted Armors is getting its home video releases handled by Happinet in Japan and they’ve set their release plans. The twelve-episode series is being done as two regular edition box sets as well as a full limited-edition box set. The half-season sets are priced at 16,000 yen each while the limited edition is priced at 39,800 yen. All of it is on Blu-ray only and they were all set to release on April 24th, 2022 before being bumped to May 18th, 2022. The series has Shimei Kawahara directing it based on the scripts from Ohine Ezaki. Kigumi is handling the animation production.

The previously announced Japanese cast includes Taiki Sato as Magoichi, Toshiki Masuda as Oda Nobuinaga, Kentarō Araki as Tsurukubi, Takato Nagata as Hotarubi, Yūichirō Hirata as Kurohyo, spi as Deku, Yūki Kamisato as Ageha, Tsubasa Sakiyama as Hototogisu, and Ryuji Sato as Lucio Cortes.

The stage plays began in 2017 with the second one launching at the time. A manga adaptation of the stage play ran previously from hagi and serialized by Monthly Comic Gene.
