A new original anime project is airing as part of the winter 2022 season with Ryman’s Club, which is coming from TV Asahi and LIDEN Films. The series saw a January 29th, 2022 debut and now the official site has rolled out some promotion for the eleventh episode that’s due out on April 9th, 2022 below.
The series has Aimi Yamauchi directing it while also being in charge of the series composition with Teruko Utsumi. Suzuhito Yasuda is on board for the character designs which are being adapted by Majiro.
The Japanese cast includes Junya Enoki as Mikoto Shiratori, Shin’ichirō Miki as Tatsuru Miyazumi, Kaito Ishikawa as Sōta Saeki, Ryota Ohsaka as Tōya Saeki, Tetsuya Kakihara as Kōki Takeda, Jun Fukuyama as Hayato Kirishima, Taku Yashiro as Azuma Tachibana, Yūma Uchida as Takuma Kirishima, Yūki Ono as Daiki Oginome, Ayumu Murase as Ayato Misora, Haruki Ishiya as Jun Yagami, Yukihiro Nozuyama as Ryo Natsuki, Daisuke Namikawa as Masahiko Utsugi, Daiki Hamano as Shiryu Tonozaki, Shunichi Toki as Yuho Mashiba, Nobuhiko Okamoto as Yukei Saruhashi, Tomokazu Sugita as Kotetsu Gokura, Atsushi Imaruoka as Kohji Matsushita, Makoto Furukawa as Naohiro Izumo, Ryotaro Okiayu as Sentaro Ibuki, Shun Horie as Shuhei Nakamura, Yusuke Shirai as Chiaki Takimoto, and Kenji Hamada as Hajime Masatoki.
The series features the opening theme song “The Warrior” by Novelbright and the ending theme song “Nisen Gohyaku Man no Ichi” by Mafumafu.
Plot Concept: The anime focuses on badminton players on a corporate team, with characters who work at a day job in a company and also play badminton. The story centers on Mikoto Shiratori, a childhood prodigy at badminton, but who never recovered from a major loss during a high school competition. Now, he works in the sales department of the Sunlight Beverage company, playing badminton on the side.
