trails of cold steel ps4 reviewOne of the more popular properties that have been getting some solid praise in North America with releases is The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel series. We learned back in March 2021 that it’s getting ready to move onto the anime level as a TV series was announced at the Nihon Falcom 40th Anniversary event. The TV series, set for broadcast in 2023 after being pushed back from 2022, will feature a brand new story set in Zemuira where the Trails of Cold Steel games are set. Funimation is serving as a co-producer on the project.

With it being a year since the original announcement, the property did get a little attention this weekend as a new key visual was released for it that you can see below.

“We hope that everyone, not only the fans that are familiar with the game, but also those who are not, can enjoy the new story that has never been told before with unique characters from the ‘Kiseki’ series,” said USERJOY’s Any Liu in March 2021. “Also, we are developing a new game based on the anime storyline, so please look forward to that as well!”
