2 min read
There’s a storm brewing and its name is Akatsuki!

The expansion of the Naruto property is underway as we had talked recently about it appearing at more services internationally. The series saw its arrival on Netflix last year and Funimation brought it to the UK earlier last year before recently getting it rolling on the domestic side as well.

Viz Media recently started helping the series make the leap to high definition with Blu-ray releases. The first saw a November 3rd, 2020 debut where it included the first 27 episodes of the 220-episode series.

Now, Viz Media is back scheduling new releases with the announcement of the seventh set which will arrive on June 14th, 2022. The set will cover episodes 166 through 192 and is priced at $39.99. It’ll include Storyboards, Clean Opening and Ending, Art Gallery, Making of Cover Art – Gallery, and Trailers! This set also has an audio commentary for the 168th episode.

Property Concept: Disaster strikes the Village Hidden in the Leaves when Ichiraku Ramen is mysteriously closed! Ayame’s been kidnapped, and if Naruto and Choji want their noodles, they’ll have to save her first! Then, the sea rages with fury as Naruto faces a briny behemoth of epic proportions. Can his ninja training save him? And finally, the action heads to the Village Hidden in the Stars as Naruto and Neji’s team tracks down a legendary item of great power!
