1 min read
Will Light succeed in his noble goal, or will the Death Note turn him into the very thing he fights against?

The Death Note series in its anime form has been streaming on a few different services over the years including being on Netflix for awhile, though it departed there back in 2018. Now, Tubi has added the series to its service with just the English dub thanks to Viz Media. The series will be available to viewers in the US and Canada where Viz holds the rights to it and you can see it here.

Check out our review of the North American release here.

Plot concept: Light Yagami is a genius high school student who is about to learn about life through a book of death. When a bored shinigami, God of Death, named Ryuk drops a black notepad called a Death Note, Light receives power over life and death with the stroke of a pen. Determined to use this dark gift for the best, Light sets out to rid the world of evil… namely the people he believes to be evil.

Should anyone hold such power?

The consequences of Light’s actions will set the world ablaze.
