With the show going longer than series showrunner Jeff Davis expected it to, the sixth season of Teen Wolf back in 2016/2017 was the final season of the show. We were surprised last fall when Paramount+ not only ordered a new sequel series to go forward but that a proper sequel film was going to be produced as well.
With production going to be moving forward soon, things have been set up on the casting side for several returning actors – and confirms that some won’t be back. Tyler Posey, Crystal Reed, Holland Roden, Colton Haynes, and Shelley Hennig are all back for the feature while it’s been confirmed that Dylan O’Brien and Arden Cho will not be. Tyler Hoechlin is on that list as well but Deadline indicates that it’s not 100% set as they may find a way in-between his work on Superman & Lois to do something with it.

Paramount+ brought out the 100-episode series to the service in December 2021 in several global markets, some where it likely wasn’t available before.
