‘Mobile Suit Gundam 00’ Anime Hulu Distribution Ending

2 min read

Gundam 00 Hulu HeaderHulu was in Gundam mode this week five years ago with a number of shows being added – one of the more popular ones that also saw a run on Sci-Fi Channel was Mobile Suit Gundam 00. The fifty-episode series is available on Hulu in both its original Japanese language form with English subtitles as well as the English language dub. But after five years it looks like that’s coming to an end as the series page is listing that an expiration is coming. We’re figuring that it’ll be an end of the month thing tied to when it came on back in 2017 and there is no guarantee of a renewal, so watch ’em if you got ’em in your queue.

The series was originally produced and released for North America through Bandai Entertainment. Sunrise is currently bringing these shows out through Right Stuf.

Originally airing in 2007, the series was directed by Seiji Mizushima based on the series composition by Yosuke Kuroda. Yun Kouga and Michinori Chiba handled the character designs and Sunrise produced the animation.

The Japanese cast includes Hiroshi Kamiya as Tieria Erde, Hiroyuki Yoshino as Allelujah Haptism, Mamoru Miyano as Setsuna F. Seiei and Shinichiro Miki as Neil Dylandy / Lockon Stratos.

The English cast includes Alex Zahara as Neil Dylandy / Lockon Stratos, Brad Swaile as Soran Ibrahim / Setsuna F. Seiei, Richard Ian Cox as Allelujah Haptism and Samuel Vincent as Tieria Erde.

Plot concept: It is 2301, and the Kurdish Republic is fighting against the forces of Azadistan. A number of MSER-04 Anfs go against Workloader and small ground forces, mostly child guerrillas. The battle follows a young boy and his struggle to survive. A man’s voice is broadcasted across the battlefield, declaring that they are fighting for God and will destroy all who do not follow tradition.
