There aren’t a lot of anime shows about fishing but they certainly exist. A new one is in our future as we learned back in December 2020 that the Slow Loop manga will be getting a TV anime series. The series was recently revealed to be set for a planned January 7th, 2022 debut and now the folks at Funimation have confirmed their pickup of the series with a same-day simulcast. The show will be available to viewers in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Peru, Colombia, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand

Noriaki Akitaya is directing it based on the scripts by Yuka Yamada. Shoko Takimoto is working on the character designs and serving as the chief animation director with CONNECT handling the animation production.
