If you're looking to binge a classic anime, look no further.

The original Saint Seiya came on board Netflix for streaming back in 2019 with a lot of fanfare and then it got more season in April 2020 that helped to flesh things out even more. Now, it looks like it’s about to come to an end. The six-season run that’s on the Netflix service is now being listed with a December 14th, 2021 departure date. That takes out a good chunk of episodes from the service but it does provide about a month for anyone watching the chance to try and binge and get through more of it, which we definitely recommend. It’s really hit or miss as to whether something like this would get a quick renewal, or any renewal at all.

Saint Seiya is a big property for the studio with over 250 TV episodes and six animated films that has generated over a billion in revenue since it kicked off back in 1986. The manga from Masami Kurumada has over 35 million copies sold to date.

The original Saint Seiya manga from Masami Kurumada that ran from 1986 to 1990 and Viz Media has all twenty-eight volumes released in North America in print and digital form. With a lot of anime adaptations and related works over the years, this is the core property to get into and savor.

Flash forward to modern-day Greece: two Japanese tourists are shocked to see a mansized meteorite crash to the earth before them. It turns out to be young Seiya. Seiya must train harder than ever if he is to survive his match with the brutal Cassios! Whoever wins will receive the greatest prize known to man: the incredibly powerful Pegasus Cloth!
