Madhouse announced a new original work in production back in July with the 2022 release plans for Goodbye, DonGlees! The official site and social have updated a few times over the past few months, with some cast additions and the previously revealed first trailer, and a new poster. Now, the official site has updated by revealing a February 18th, 2022 theatrical premiere for it and adding a few more cast members to the project as well.
Production information is minimal at the moment but we do know that Atsuko Ishizuka is writing and directing it and Takahiro Yoshimatsu is handling the character designs.
The previously revealed cast includes:
- Natsuki Hanae as Rōma Kamogawa
- Yuuki Kaji as Hokuto “Toto” Mitarai
- Ayumu Murase as Shizuku “Drop” Sakuma
- Kana Hanazawa as Chibori “Tivoli” Urayasu

Plot Concept: The film depicts the miracle-like encounter of the “DonGlees” boys. At the end of an adventure with friends that began during an unusual summer vacation, the boys arrive in Iceland—the land of flames and ice. What “treasure” have the boys found by looking at themselves and transcending the world…!
