The Black Adam film has been in a wait-state for awhile with Dwayne Johnson set to star as the title character for Warner Bros. / New Line. The project has worked through a lot of its filming in Georgia and has moved onto post-production with a July 29th, 2022 release date for it.
With the DC FanDome event underway, one of the first things to come out of it is a look at this film and they do some really nice introductory stuff with some of the actors and the scale of the film before it goes to the opening scene from the film that gives us our very first full film-look at Black Adam.
“The hierarchy of power in the DC Universe is about to change,” said Dwayne Johnson in the spot previously.
Jaume Collet-Serra is on board to direct based on the screenplay turned in by Adam Sztykiel.
The cast includes Dwayne Johnson as Black Adam, Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, Aldis Hodge as Carter Hall/Hawkman, Quintessa Swindell as Maxine Hunkel/Cyclone, Mo Amera, Pierce Brosnan as Kent Nelson/Dr. Fate, and Djimon Hounsou as Shazam.
