At the Aniplex panel at AnimeJapan 2021 back in March 2021, a new project was announced with the original work Visual Prison. The series comes from creator Noriyasu Agematsu, the mind behind Symphogear and Wild Arms, working with A-1 Pictures. The series saw an October 8th, 2021 debut across most networks in Japan and the folks at Funimation are handling the simulcast.
Now, the official site has dropped a preview of the second episode that goes live on October 15th, 2021 that you can see below. The previews are region-locked on YouTube so we’re going with the Twitter editions.
Funimation will stream the series in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand as it airs in Japan, as well as Mexico, Chile, Colombia, Peru, and Brazil with simulcast dates to be confirmed.
Jouji Furuta is on board as the chief director with Tomoya Tanaka as the hands-on director. Yukie Sugawara is supervising the scripts while Minako Shiba is adapting the character designs from Ikumi Katagiri.
