YouTube Movies has quietly added another project for free streaming in that they’ve picked up the release rights for the Accel World: Infinite Burst film in its dubbed form. The film arrived on September 30th, 2021, and is available here and below.
The film brought back the original Japanese cast and has most of the original staff as well. The work has Masakazu Obara directing with Yukiko Aikei handling the character designs and serving as the animation director. It was animated at Sunrise. The cast includes Sachika Misawa as Kuroyukihime, Yuuki Kaji as Haruyuki, Aki Toyosaki as Chiyuri, Shintarō Asanuma as Takumu, Yumi Hara as Utai Shinomiya (Ardor Maiden) and Yuuka Nanri as Rin Kusakabe.
The English cast includes Kira Buckland as Kuroyukihime/Black Lotus, Erik Scott Kimerer as Haruyuki Arita/Silver Crow, Lucien Dodge as Takumu Mayuzumi/Cyan Pile, Stephanie Sheh as Chiyuri Kurashima/Lime Bell, Johanna Luis as Fuko Kurosaki/Sky Raker, Trinity Lee as Akira Himi/Aqua Current, Sarah Anne Williams as Yuniko Kōzuki/Scarlet Rain, Erika Harlacher as Blood Leopard, Ben Diskin as Ash Roller, Kaiji Tang as Blue Knight, Xanthe Huynh as Utai Shinomiya, Jay Allen White as Green Grandee, Vic Mignogna as Viridian Decurion, Austin Lee Matthews as Iron Pound, Jessica Straus as Lignum Vitae, Faye Mata as Sundan Schaefer, Kayli Mills as Risa Tsukiori, Cassandra Lee Morris as Nyx, and Laura Post as Metatron.
The theme song for it will be from Altima and Kotoko with Plasmic Fire.
Original concept: No matter what age it is, the “Bullied Child” will never disappear. The overweight, Middle School student, Haruyuki, was one such kid. The only time he could relax completely, was when he would play a squash game on the local network the school had set up. He loved playing this simple game as he can forget painful times while immersed in it.
It was fall. He was passing his time like this until one day, he had an encounter with the school’s most beautiful, refined girl, “Snow Black,” which changed his life abruptly. Introduced to the software she transmitted, Haruyuki learned about “Accel World.” A program that enhances one’s mind capabilities, with certain side-effects.
It was the moment the guy on the lowest rung at school became “Burst Linker,” protecting the Princess as her knight.
